Huckabee's Cameo Appearance on the "Rudy McRomneyson" Show A Success!

First of all I'd like to thank Blogger for finally publishing my posts this evening hours after I wrote them! I really appreciated the frustration! (Note Sarcasm)

I would like to sincerely thank Kerry (you know her as "OneMom") for offering to publish me tonight if I couldn't find our how to fix my problem. I really appreciate it! She did some great liveblogging this afternoon and we all had a great sounding board for all of our frustrations with blogging and the debate.

I can't take credit for what I called the debate in the title tonight. "Students For Huckabee" came up with that one during the Bloggers Call tonight (which I missed most of). Mike's appearance was really "Cameo" in nature compared to everyone else. As you can see below I was pissed off with that. Mike was definitely not getting a fair amount of face time this afternoon.

However it does not seem to matter too much. Remember the old adage "Quality, not Quantity?" Mike Huckabee took advantage of the time he did have! Each time Mike was able to open his mouth he scored points. It was almost a given that Ron Paul would win the post-debate poll (and yes he did) but yet again Mike Huckabee took 2nd place. Despite not a lot of face time, Mike says that the website has had record traffic today (and he is right because there were times where I could not access the site this afternoon). There was a goal of 300 donations today and by the time the debate was over, we had 350 and the new goal is 600 by midnight tonight. Currently there have been 470 with about one hour and 15 minutes to go.

I'll have some more thoughts on the debate tomorrow morning, along with a roundup from the blogosphere. It has definitely been one of those days. Thanks for bearing with me folks!
