GUEST POST - Andrea Has Some Awesome Huckabee Shirts!
About a year ago my husband and I started talking about how great it would be if Mike Huckabee ran for president. As residents of the state of Arkansas we've had the opportunity to see first hand the great things Mike has accomplished here.
When Mike announced his candidacy earlier this year I started looking for ways that I could get involved. As a stay at home mom of 4 kids, I wasn't sure there was much for me to do. A few months ago I was preparing to run a local 5k and an idea came to me. I made myself an "I Want To Be Like Mike" t-shirt to wear to races. The shirt featured a picture of Mike crossing the finish line at the Little Rock Marathon. Within a week I had some "Runners for Huckabee" t-shirts made that I gave to some of our local runners and sold to others across the nation. The few that I didn't sell were shipped to New Hampshire where Mike was running a 5K.
I had many non-runners asking me about other Mike Huckabee t-shirts. I looked around on the internet only to find that most of the t-shirts out there are extremely overpriced and none of the money goes to the campaign. After that I decided to have some Huckabee '08 t-shirts made. I sell them for about $5.00 more than the production cost and shipping. That extra $5.00 is contributed to the campaign. My kids love helping me. I have one child that takes care of the "inventory". Another that packages and labels the shirts for me. And another that likes to pull them back out of the box.
This is our way, as a family, of getting the word out about Mike Huckabee as well as generating some extra income so that we can donate to his campaign.
If you would like a t-shirt, please visit me on ebay or contact me directly at andysprite2@yahoo.com.
Andrea is also one of the over 400 "Bloggers For Huckabee" and her blog, Arkansasns For Huckabee can be read HERE. Oh and with some donation matching going on today, every shirt that is sold before Midnight CST (1 AM EST) will add another $5.00 to the online total (that's $10 for each shirt sold in the next seven hours going to the Huckabee campaign!). My shirt is on the way make sure you get yours. SO DON'T DELAY GET YOU HUCKBEE '08 SHIRTS TODAY!!!
GEORGIA RIGHT TO LIFE ENDORSES MIKE HUCKABEE!!!
GEORGIA RIGHT TO LIFE PAC ENDORSES MIKE HUCKABEE FOR PRESIDENTI am very proud that the Right To Life PAC in my state saw the hypocrisy of the National Right To Life Commission's endorsement of Fred Thompson. I applaud their judgement! The mission of Georgia Right to Life PAC (GRTL PAC) is to endorse and support candidates for public office who have a proven commitment to the sanctity of human life and will be a strong and effective voice for the unborn. We are pleased to endorse Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee for the 2008 Presidential primary. We appreciate and respect the pro-life positions of all pro-life candidates. We commend Rep. Duncan Hunter, Dr. Alan Keyes and Rep. Tom Tancredo for their strong pro-life positions, but find that Governor Mike Huckabee is the only candidate which qualified under Georgia Right to Life PAC guidelines. We examined three factors in our decision to endorse Gov. Mike Huckabee: the positions of the candidates on the life issues, their records on the life issues and their ability to win.
Gov. Huckabee responded to our inquiry of his position on the life issues by stating, “In keeping with my consistent support for life, I believe in the 'one exception’ clause for the life of the mother and I support the Georgia Personhood Amendment. I also support, and have consistently done so, the Human Life Amendment to the United States Constitution.”Gov. Huckabee has a proven track record of solid pro-life legislation during his terms as governor of Arkansas. He is noted for having passed a state “Human Life Amendment” which says that “the policy of Arkansas is to protect the life of every unborn child from conception to birth." Arkansas Amendment 68 will take effect the moment that Roe vs. Wade is reversed. He is especially supportive of our efforts here in Georgia, to promote the passage of H.R. 536, the Paramount Right to Life Amendment (www.personhood.net).As an affiliate of National Right to Life, we give grateful recognition for the role they play in protecting the unborn. “We want to acknowledge their leadership and thank them for allowing individual states to do what they believe is best for their state. Under normal circumstances we would communicate their Presidential endorsement to our 225,000 households.” said Bryan Lash, PAC Director for GRTL. “While we appreciate their leadership and support, we believe that Gov. Huckabee is the strongest and most effective pro-life candidate in this race,” continues Lash. “Passing a Personhood Amendment here in Georgia is our key issue in achieving our objective to extend the protections of the law to all ‘persons’ both born and unborn. Support of a candidate who ushered a similar amendment through his own state speaks volumes to us. Mr. Huckabee’s recent surge in the polls, we believe, demonstrates that he is the pro-life movement’s best hope in defeating pro-abortion candidate Rudy Giuliani. When elected, Mike Huckabee will work hard to establish our goal of restoring respect and effective legal protection to all innocent human beings, from the moment of fertilization until natural death.”

I Have Sketchy Info on The Altercation
UPDATE - There is now a small blurb about the altercation online from WCBD TV in South Carolina:
Witnesses say Joe Shea, the editor-in-chief of the American Reporter, pushed one of Mike Huckabee's aides to the floor while trying to ask the Republican candidate a question.
Mr. Huckabee called for security to remove the man.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Huck Wins Tonight Hands Down!!
SPECIAL ALERTInsiderAdvantage Poll Of CNN/YouTube Debate And Controversy After Debate
By Matt Towery
Southern Political Report
Copyright © 2007 Creators SyndicateNovember 28, 2007 —
Due to transmission issues our live coverage of the debate aftermath was interrupted. However, our cameras captured the moment when Matt Towery and Tom Baxter informed Governor Huckabee, who was surrounded by national press, that the survey of both Iowa and Florida Republicans conducted by InsiderAdvantage/Majority Opinion Research showed Mike Huckabee the winner of tonight's CNN/YouTube debate.
The Florida survey conducted with the Florida Chamber of Commerce showed the following results:
Huckabee: 44%
Giulani: 18%
Romney: 13%
McCain: 10%
Thompson: 5%
Paul: 4%
Hunter: 1%
Tancredo: 1%
Rest: undecided
The survey of 341 Republicans who stated they were undecided, intended to watch the debate and agreed to phone in their opinion immediately after the ending was weighted for age and gender. It has a margin of error of +/- 6%.
A survey of Iowa Republicans of over 1,035 Iowa Republicans taken in the last twenty minutes of the debate showed Huckabee the winner in that state as well. The numbers virtually mirrored Florida. They were:
Huckabee: 32%
Romney: 16%
Giuliani: 12%
McCain: 10%
Thompson: 7%
Paul: 6%
Tancredo: 2%
Hunter: 0%
Rest: undecided
Interestingly, the Iowa poll did not survey only undecided voters. Yet, both a survey of undecided voters in Florida and a general survey in Iowa showed Huckabee the winner.
In the media Spin Room, most of the major candidates were left with little if any media attention as virtually all print and broadcast media circled Governor Huckabee.
NOTE: OUR CAMERAS CAPTURED AN ALTERCATION WHICH OCCURRED WITHIN FEET OF GOVERNOR HUCKABEE AND WHICH CAUSED SECURITY TO BE SUMMONED. WE WILL BE POSTING AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AN UNEDITED VERSION OF OUR LIVE COVERAGE WHICH WILL INCLUDE THE ALTERCATION, AS WELL AS REACTION FROM GOVERNOR HUCKABEE UPON LEARNING OF THE RESULTS OF THE POLLS AS WELL AS AN INTERVIEW WITH HUCKABEE SUPPORTER CHUCK NORRIS. WE WILL POST A CONSTANT CONTACT WHEN THE VIDEO IS AVAILABLE.
Do note the last piece of information there. This info was released an hour and a half ago. There is no known information of the "Altercation" and personally I am worried and very nervous about what that might be. I'll be up for a little while longer trying to dig and find out what happened and I will break it here when I find out.

My Take on the Youtube Debate!
1. Like all the other major debates thus far they didn't give equal time to everyone. If you ask a question it should be asked to everyone to answer.
2, Another debate without education or health care questions! I am still shaking my head at this. These are issues the American people want to know about. the Democrats don't own these issues. Republicans have stances on them and they should be allowed to have their say on it in the public square.
3. the question at the end to Rudy and Romney on the Yankees and Red Sox was ridiculous and not a good way to end things at all. What did that have to do with any important issue?
4. I thought the song at the beginning was funny. Let's see if I can find it.
Ahh here it is!
So Winners and Losers:
LOSERS -
Mitt/Rudy - their nights got off to a bickering start. They both got black eyes on the immigration issue which neither is authentic on. What a waste of five minutes! Mitt looked like a deer in headlights all night and Rudy was slammed with questions and attacked. I thought Huckabee was supposed to be attacked from all sides tonight but it was Rudy taken almost all the blows! Rudy did have the funniest ad of the night though. Kudos to that.
Fred - Moving right along....honestly he still puts me to sleep. Everyone got to present an ad and Fred's was a cheap shot at Mitt and Mike. Low blow. Bad form.
Hunter/Tancredo - These two are great people and nice guys. They are very intelligent but they should not have been on the stage. Their numbers are not anywhere near double-digits and we're almost in December now. I'd love to see them in a Huckabee Cabinet.
SO-SO:
Paul - he's not a loser tonight but so-so. He got his points across and I repsect him for not backing down for what he believes in. I just don't agree with his stances on foreign policy. Sometimes he just seems angry to me.
WINNERS = Two of them
John McCain - McCain was definitely on the offensive tonight. He really shined. I have a lot of respect for him. Don't count out the Senator from Arizona just yet!
Mike Huckabee - This was a big night for him. The eyes of the nation were upon him with all the big news surrounding him lately. He was not given the proper respect and given less time than anyone else but he delivered the best lines of the night. He was strong on the FairTax (got the biggest applause all night in FairTax Florida)! His answer on the death penalty was excellent and was very tactful. Another line of the night was next "Jesus was smart enough not to run for public office!" I also loved his answer on the Space prgram. After he explained why it is needed, Mike went back to the question on Mars exploration and quipped "Let's Send Hillary on the first rocket!" Yet again it was quality over quantity of time for Huck and he delivered!
It wasn't the best debate but hey what are you to expect from CNN?
A Prayer For Mike Before Tonight's Debate
God,
I pray today for the safety of everyone traveling to and from the debate tonight in Florida. May your will be done in the proceedings there. I especially pray for your servant, Governor Mike Huckabee. May he have the humility, wisdom, and grace to withstand the attacks that will be coming from all sides tonight as all eyes are now upon him. May he have the ability to turn the other cheek while defending himself in a civil manner that is respectful to his fellow candidates. May your words and truth come from his mouth. I pray these things to you oh Lord along with the prayer you taught us.
Our father
Who Art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy Kingdom Come
Thy will be done
On Earth as it is In Heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespassers
As we forgive those who trespass against us
And lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil
For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the Glory
Forever and ever,
AMEN!!

November 28, 2007
Lynchburg, VA – Former Arkansas Governor and Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee announced the personal endorsement of Liberty University President Jerry Falwell, Jr. Falwell is the son of the late Jerry Falwell, founder of Liberty University and Falwell Ministries.
"I knew Jerry's dad for more than 30 years and have admired the long tradition of Liberty University and the legacy for creating 'Champions for Christ'," Huckabee said. "Dr. Falwell's vision of helping students to start with nothing to believe they can change the world is exactly what our campaign is all about."
Jerry Falwell, Jr. graduated from Liberty University and later obtained his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. He has served as General Counsel of Liberty University, Thomas Road Baptist Church, Liberty Broadcasting Network, and Jerry Falwell Ministries. In 2003, he was named Vice-Chancellor of the University and was later named President of the University.

This is a personal endorsement and does not reflect the organizations Jerry Falwell Jr. represents.
MORE GOOD NEWS - hUCK AT 13% IN SOUTH CAROLINA!!
Mitt - 17%
Fred - 15%
Mike - 13%
At the very least this means South Carolina is now up for grabs. Amazing! No candidate in this poll gets over 20%! I don't know what the margin of error is but this might be a statistical three-way dead heat. Wow!

“As I interviewed each of the candidates and investigated their leadership skills, and observed their behavior, Mike Huckabee clearly rises above the others,” said Karen Testerman, Director of Cornerstone Policy Research, a Family Policy Council organization. “I believe he not only clearly communicates the founding principles and values of faith, family and freedom, he demonstrates these values in his behavior towards others.”

Murray, chairman of the Religious Freedom Coalition. “My office is just a few blocks from the Capitol and virtually everyday, I meet with congressmen, Senators and other ‘insiders’ who see Mike Huckabee as a breath of fresh air and they don’t particularly like that.”
“Mike Huckabee's relational ability with people, whether it be one- on-one or through mass media appeal, coupled with his influential proven leadership at the executive level in a largely democratic state, will win the hearts of millions as he articulates with mastery the conservative values of evangelicals,” said Dr. Ronnie W. Floyd, Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church in Springdale and The Church at Pinnacle Hills. “I am personally endorsing him because I have found these things to be true in my 21 years of knowing him.”
"I have been waiting for God's man to emerge. I believe that Mike Huckabee is our man and I support him totally," said Bishop John Gimenez , International Overseer of the Rock Ministerial Fellowship.

Another Endorsement For Huckabee!
News Release: Mike Huckabee Receives Endorsement of Republican Sportshooters Association
November 26, 2007
Little Rock, AR – Former Arkansas Governor and Republican Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee received the endorsement of the Republican Sportshooters Association at a sportsmen’s “meet and greet and skeet shoot” just outside Spartanburg, South Carolina yesterday.
“The Second Amendment is not about loving guns, it is about ensuring freedom,” said Huckabee.During his remarks, Huckabee told the crowd the story about the rusty old 20 gauge shotgun in his rifle cabinet at home that was his father’s gun, and how one day that gun will be his sons. “You don’t hear stories about fathers passing down video games to their sons,” he quipped.
Wayne Wilkinson, President of the Republican Sportshooters Association, stated: “Mike Huckabee is the authentic consistent conservative, who shares our love of faith, family and freedom. The preservation, promotion, and protection of faith, family, and freedom is the mission of the Republican Sportshooters Association. It is our honor to endorse a candidate who shares our mission and shares our values.”
Huckabee, an ardent supporter of the Second Amendment, was named one of Outdoor Life Magazine’s “25 Most Influential Hunters and Fishermen” earlier this month.
He also has an A+ from the National Rifle Association, an organization in which he has been a lifelong member. Last year, Huckabee won the prestigious One Shot Antelope Shot in Lander, Wyoming – along with National Wild Turkey Federation President Rob Keck and Ranger Boats Founder Forrest Wood.
Huckabee picked up the endorsement after nearly 24-hours of non-stop campaigning in South Carolina, which included attending Saturday’s Clemson-South Carolina football game, speaking at two church services, attending a reception at the home of State Senator David Thomas in Greenville, and skeet shooting (with his wife Janet) at the sportsmen’s event in Spartanburg on Sunday.

And Now A Fundraising Update!
SEMI-LIVE BLOG - Huckabee Call With Bloggers
Okay it is now 9:31 still waiting for Governor Huckabee to arrive.
9:33. Here comes Mike!
Mike is expressing his admiration for us bloggers. Media is astonished about the success despite the lack of money and ads. We're part of the success. We are getting out the message whether it be positive or being the truth squad against negative attacks. We are the Wind Beneath His Wings! There are now over 400 bloggers for Huckabee (wow)! He is proud to be named the best campaign on the web! He enjoys meeting us in person (I for one can't wait for the day he returns to Georgia so I can meet him myself!). He loves our suggestions (Paypal etc) and the staff take them seriously and into consideration. They do listen to us!
HERE COMES THE QUESTIONS:
One Mom: Here's a great explanation of her question, Mike's answer and analysis on Mike and Homeschooling. Way to go Kerry! Thanks for the link yesterday too! :)
Michigan Redneck: She has a question about the Fair Tax I had problems hearing her question (bless her heart). There's no need to fear though. Aslansmane's Weblog was listening and summarizes the question and Mike's answer.
I FINALLY GET MY MOMENT IN THE SUN!! I've been on these calls since late August. I finally got lucky enough to ask a question. I was euphoric and tried to control myself while asking my question. Luckily I had gone over it in my head last night and this morning so I was prepared. I think I did well enough.
My question was about fundraising and website infrastructure. I mentioned that we did a fantastic job raising money on November 20th. I noted that near the end of the day the website was swamped and crashed a bunch. I asked that if we do our jobs and get you a win in Iowa (or a good showing) are we ready for a $500,000 r even $1 Million day afterwards? Mike was very confident in the fact that we would be ready. They have had to upgrade the server a lot so far this quarter. Also they are suring up website security measures. For example on the day following the Chuck Norris ad there were hackers trying to take down the site completely. This is why the site was slow during that period of time. I am now confident that we can handle the high amounts of traffic of increased donors after our eventual successes!
Next is a question from the blog, Christianity Lived Out about Parental Rights Amendment. He needs to do more research on the issue. Mike is definitely against the UN Rights of A Child but the issue in question is totally different. I was not aware of this myself.
Mike And Arts Blog - Do you have a plan to increase the promotion of your education platform? Mike has been trying very hard to talk about this issue on the trail. However he is very disappointed that the issue is not being used in the debates. The last debate on Fox News was the first major debate with an education question at all. Mike was not allowed to answer the question and was very vocal to Chris Wallace afterwards about not being allowed to answer it. He hopes to get questions about this issue on Wednesday night. More on that below.
Jeff - Southeast Michigan (of the blog Conserve Thought). Jeff asked about Michigan and the status on where it stands in the process. Michigan had set its primary date for January 15th sometime ago. There was some litigation but the courts eventually backed off and thier date is now final. This means that Michigan will be holding the 2nd Primary after New Hampshire's on January 8th. Mike said that while Michigan has moved up the media has not moved up its status. The focus is still on Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina. That is where much of the resources are going to go. He is hoping for support from his bloggers and grassroots efforts for him to do well in Michigan. The media seems to think Mitt Romney will do well and win by default because he was born there (and because of his father). Also we now know that South Carolina's GOP primary is January 19th. I believe that is now a final decision as well. So at least we now know where everything stands.
Give Hope Another Chance - Immigration. Mike was able to reiterate his stance on illegal immigration, securing the borders and answering the critics about the scholarships he gave in Arkansas.
Michael from Europe asked an excellent question. Here is his blog and some explanation to the question and his thoughts about the call as an added bonus.
Brooklyn Blessings - She asked a great question. She deals with many legal immigrants and she wanted Mike to talk about them because they feel turned off by the anti-immigration crowd even though they are focused on illegals.
Florida 4 Huckabee - He was very happy to see Mike doing so much in Florida lately with all the fundraising and debates there. Nathan had two thoughtful questions. He was wondering about an answer to the Club For Growth's attacks in the Truth Squad section. Mike said that they are working on a comprehensive answer to be posted soon by his staff. He does know that we need to have more Truth Squad presence on the website.
Also asked of the governor was what kind of questions Mike wanted to hear/see during Wednesday's YouTube debate on CNN. Mike is really anxious to answer questions about education and health care. He believes (as do I) that the American people want to know where the candidates stand on these key issues and that the debates thus far have not lived up to our standards by not asking many questions about these key issues.
And we're out! Mike again thanked us for all that we do. We are his heroes! "Keep those fingers busy!" Mike said as he stressed our importance, "I'm riding you all the way to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue!" Thanks Mike it was an honor to ask a question of you today. These calls have been wonderful. I am proud to support you!
Stand By For Bloggers Call
There is a Huckabee Bloggers call this morning in about fifteen minutes. I can't live blog it (who knows I may try) but at the very least I will semi-live blog it and do my very best to provide a decent-enough transcript of the call this morning. Stay tuned. I am going to call in a few minutes to make sure I am not late. Hopefully I'll get to ask a question this time.

VIDEO - Mike Huckabee on CNN with Wolf Blitzer
Speaking of the new Mike Huckabee Advertisement - Here it is!
Looks like another great ad to me! Way to go!
WEEK IN REVIEW - Was this Really A Holiday Week?
There have been political, evangelical, and celebrity endorsements to Mike this week! From the Evangelical side were endorsements from Jerry Jenkins and Zig Zigler. South Carolina Congressman Bob Inglis also formally endorsed Mike on Tuesday! Of course you already know that wrestling legend Ric Flair is now on the Huckabee bandwagon! Wooooooo!!
How are the polls doing? Quite well I think. As of Wednesday Mike is back into a three-way tie for 2nd place nationally (with Mitt and Fred) at 13% according to Rasmussen's Daily GOP tracking poll. They all trail Rudy (who is down to 24%). It will be interesting to see what has changed in this poll during the Holiday break.
Also from Rasmussen is a poll in the twenty Super Duper Tuesday (February 5th) states. The poll is fascinating. The doubters are saying the Huck will be a one-state wonder and fade away. Again Rudy is in the lead but Fred and Mike are tied for 2nd at 14%! If we do our job and get Mike a fantastic showing in Iowa we can only improve that number. The social conservatives are looking at the Hawkeye State for guidance. A win or strong 2nd is crucial. That is what will seperate Mike from Mitt, John, and Fred. Of course what I really want to see is numbers in each of those 20 states. But this will do for now I suppose.
What we do have is a poll from South Carolina. Mike is now polling at 12% there. He is in 4th and in a statistical tie with Rudy for 3rd (he is at 13%). Romney and Fred are tied for 1st as of Wednesday. Both of them are polling at 21%. this is yet another poll where Mike is polling at his highest point yet. Compared to the last Rasmussen poll from The Palmetto State two months ago, Mike is up about 9% (a higher jump than anyone in this poll!). Congrats to the Ron Paul supporters reading my blog. Dr. Paul is coming in at 8% in South Carolina! which is higher than I have ever seen him in any state poll (I could be wrong).
It was also a big grassroots week! Not only were we able to achieve a $200,000+ fundraising day and raise more money online in 20 days than we did last month, we also got our act together in a few days to have a banner flown above the South Carolina/Clemson game! Earlier in the week it was announced that Mike would be attending the game and tailgating with wrestler Ric Flair. We were able to pull enough funds together to fly a banner over the festivities. Although it was not in the skies while Mike was on the ground there it was no less wonderful! You can see pictures and read about it at Huck's Army and the blog Arkansans For Huckabee (Way to go Andrea!)
What's up this week? Well no doubt there will be new polls to look at. the Campaign is also releasing a new ad tomorrow. The next debate, the CNN/YouTube debate is on Wednesday in Florida. We will also be trying our darndest to ger over the $2 Million dollar mark by Friday. Can we do it? Well only with you help!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!!
I will be back on Friday with a good recap of the news from the past few days. There is a lot of good news out there. I just don't have as much time right now to cover it as I want.
Greetings Troops!
My name is Brian Donegan. You know me as BDBopper on the Huck's Army
Forums and at my blog, "Oh Baby That's What I Like."
Thanksgiving is a very special time. It is time to gather with family and
friends and thank God for our many blessings. However, Thanksgiving has a
very special meaning to me. Twenty-five years ago I was fighting a battle
for my life two months after my birth. Thanks to the care of my doctors
and nurses, the love of my family, and the grace (of) our Lord I am still here
beating the long odds that were set out for me. The following was a front
page article in the "Gwinnett Daily" section of the Atlanta Journal &
Constitution on Thanksgiving of 2000.

Thankful for . . .
Their son, 18, who faced dire prognoses when he was born
Robert Haddocks - Staff
Thursday, November 23, 2000
Brian Donegan was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate so severe that
his mouth was agape and he essentially did not have a nose. He had a heart
defect that deprived him of oxygen, and he was blind. If that were not
enough to deal with, pneumonia set in. And when he was barely 2 months old,
Brian's chest was ripped open by doctors who repaired his heart in the
first of 10 surgeries he would have before his second birthday.
"The prognosis was real grim," said his mother, Carol Donegan of
Lawrenceville. Doctors told her and her husband, David, that if Brian
survived it would most likely be in a vegetative state. At the time of his
birth, they gave him six weeks to live.
That was 18 years ago. Today, Brian is a bright, energetic, ambitious high
school senior with an indomitable spirit and a remarkably positive outlook.
"If something gets me down, it doesn't get me down for long," Brian said.
"I'm not ever down for the count. I always find something to look
positively on." He quickly counters any perceived negative with a balancing
positive. His most bothersome limitation is his vision. He's legally blind,
which keeps him from having a driver's license. "Sometimes, people are
busy, and I can't get to where I want to go, but my parents make plenty of
accommodations, and they do the very best they can," he said.
Defying the doctors' prognoses, Brian is not only healthy, he's a straight
A student who scored 1110 on the SAT. Dressed in jeans and a bright orange
Parkview High School sweatshirt, Brian is an ordinary kid. An avid sports
fan, he has a bedroom decorated with Atlanta sports paraphernalia, mostly
from the Braves. Like most teens, he enjoys spending time on the computer,
hammering at an electronic keyboard, and, in a slight deviation from the
norm, listening to music from the 1950s. One of his hobbies is spinning
records, and he plans on majoring in broadcast journalism at a university
in Georgia and becoming an "oldies" disc jockey.
David Donegan believes Brian will overcome any obstacle in his path --- as
he always has. Brian plans to live close to public transportation or "make
his mark on the world where he's independently wealthy and he can have a
driver," his father said. "Whatever he does, I feel he'll make an impact on
this world, and the world will be a better place because he's here."
"He is such a constant surprise," Carol said of her son, who volunteers at
the Center for the Visually Impaired in Atlanta and is co-president of the
center's STARS (Social Therapeutic And Recreational Services) program.
"He has a lot going for him and has a personality that can handle anything
that comes his way," she said. "He always has a smile and a bright spirit.
We're just thankful that the doctors were able to help when he just about
died 18 years ago."
Brian is scheduled for surgery on his jaw in the spring --- his 18th
surgery. He endured a lot of teasing in middle school, and, although that
has mostly ceased, he still has to fight against ignorance.
"My biggest obstacle has been getting people to understand my disability
and to understand that I'm a human being just like everyone else, and I can
do things just as well or maybe better than anyone else."
Standing in the kitchen of his Lawrenceville home, David Donegan
acknowledged difficult times. But he said: "I wouldn't want to walk in
anyone else's shoes." David, who has two younger sons --- Jeff, 15, and
Kevin, 13 --- truly believes every day is a blessing.
"When Brian was born and they said he had six weeks to live, and he might
not last that long, we just knew that we would love him and take care of
him as long as we had him," he said. "And we're just happy that it's been a
lot longer than six weeks," David said. "We very much left that up to God,"
Carol said of the early days. "You can't second guess any of that. We just
had to leave that up to God, and he did a pretty good job. He did a great
job."
-========================-
As you can tell I have many things to be thankful for this year, let alone
every day of my life. In honor of the twenty-five years that I have been
blessed to live happy and relatively healthy since Thanksgiving of 1982 I
am making a special Thanksgiving donation to the Mike Huckabee Campaign on
Thanksgiving Day of $25.00, the last donation I can afford to give this
year. My challenge to you is to match or make an even higher donation on
Thanksgiving. While not the same, Mike Huckabee has faced long odds in his
campaign for the GOP nomination and eventually the White House. Each day
we inch closer to beating all of those long odds. We can beat all of them
only with your help! Please help me and let's beat those odds together!

Minnie Mouse also makes her first appearance with sound here. The Walt Disney Company marks this date as their official Birthdays. There Goes the Neighborhood - A Friend'sThanksgiving Strike!
I have a good friend down in Orlando named Alison. She does not like having to get up early in the morning and she is homesick. Her family just moved to Orlando from Cortland, NY this summer. It is cold and snowy up there and Alison misses that a lot! Mix those things together and we've got problems.
She was watching ABC's Good Morning America yesterday morning. They had a Stuffing cook-Off on the show. the winner ended up getting a tiara. That was the last straw for Alison! She immediately got on Myspace and posted the following:
She posted something similar to her status on Myspace as well. Many of her friends are jumping on board. So if your female friends start making the same demands you'll know who started this movement. And hey I sympathize. I probably should think of something similar after doing the dishes and washing laundry for years for my family without much appreciation. So yeah I am looking around for a tiara for her...especially since she has promised me peanut butter fudge and cookies if I get her one. Peanut Butter is my weakness.
DEAR FRIEND-
I WANT TO TAKE A MOMMENT AND LET YOU KNOW WHY THERE WILL BE NO THANKSGIVING AT MY HOUSE THIS YEAR! SADLY THIS MORNING ON GOOD MORNING AMERICA THEY HAD THE STUFFING COOK OFF. I AM NOT AGAINST THAT, I AM HOWEVER AGAINST GIVING THE WINNER A TIARA! I HAVE COOKED FOR THE PAST 20 YEARS WORKING HARD PERFECTING MY RECIPES, DISHES, AND DESSERTS AND I HAVE NO(T) RECEIVED ONE TIARA. SO I AM ON STRIKE. I WILL NOT BAKE ONE COOKIE, ONE PIE, A TURKEY,MAKE A SALAD OR EVEN GRILLED CHEESE UNTIL MY DEMAND FOR APPRECIATION HAS BEEN MET. I WANT MY TIARA! SO DEAR FAMILY, ENJOY MCDONALD'S, CHEF BOY R DEE, MICROWAVE MEALS, OR CHINESE..UNTIL THERE IS A CROWN ON THIS HEAD THIS WIFE, MOTHER, DAUGHTER IN LAW, DAUGHTER AND COUSIN AND FRIEND IS ON STRIKE! I WILL NOT EVEN BE GIVING OUT MY RECIPES UNTIL MY DEMANDS ARE MEANT!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

1 Million For Huckabee on November 20th!
I hope and pray this effort is successful. Please spread the word!
Let's Help Mike Huckabee raise $1,000,000 in one day!
Dear Fellow Mike Huckabee Supporters,
I am confident that you will agree with me when I say Mike Huckabee is the best candidate running for president. He is smart, articulate, and right on the issues. He is rising in the polls, has cross-over appeal, and would beat Hillary Clinton. The only thing holding him back right now is the mistaken view that he can't win.
Critics point to his relatively meager fund raising total to date and say he doesn't have enough money to compete. Potential supporters hear these critics and decide they are right and choose not to "waste their money." It becomes a vicious cycle, that ensures Huck continues to lag. (Although his numbers are definitely improving.)
Together, we can break this cycle. I have created a website, Nov20ForTheChildren.com , challenging every Huckabee supporter to give $100 or more on November 20th (Children's Day). Although I have a limited income myself, I will be donating $100 on this day. I encourage you to do likewise.
Please head over to http://Nov20ForTheChildren.com today and register your support. By doing so, we can track our progress and thus encourage more people to participate. (Everyone wants to be part of a big, wining effort.) Even if you can't quite afford $100 I encourage you to sign up to give what you can. Every amount counts. Together we can "Take a Stand for the Future" and turn governor Huckabee into president Huckabee.
Thank you for you time and support,
Thaddeus Billman
When You Wish Upon A Star (Parker) Mike Huckabee Scores an Endorsement!!
News Release: Mike Huckabee Receives “Star” Endorsement from Ms. Star Parker
November 16, 2007
Little Rock, AR – Former Arkansas Governor and Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee adds Ms. Star Parker to the growing list of endorsements by members of the faith community. Ms. Parker is founder and president of CURE*, Coalition on Urban Renewal and Education, a national conservative think tank focused on breaking the cycle of poverty.
“I’ve known Ms. Parker for more than ten years and I have come to admire her character and determination,” Huckabee said. “I’m proud to have her support because we share many of the same views on faith and family.”
“America is at a crossroads and this country needs a president with the moral clarity to understand what is wrong at its core,” Parker said. “Mike Huckabee has the passion and vision to get America back on track toward a civil, just, and virtuous society.”
Parker is a leading social policy consultant and media commentator, the author of three books and a weekly nationally syndicated newspaper column. She is widely recognized for her successful transition from being single welfare mother to an entrepreneur, civic leader and social activist.
A Three Way Tie For 2nd Nationally!
HUCK BREAKS DOUBLE DIGITS IN FLORIDA!!
EDIT - The Rasmussen poll I was referring to from Iowa in this space is out. The numbers are lower than the other polls this week but are higher than he has done in this poll to date. Remember that Mitt has spent thousands upon thousands of dollars in ad buys. Mike has spent $0! That is about to change. The Hawkeye State will see the first Mike Huckabee TV ads next week. We've still got lots of work to do. WE CAN GET IT DONE!!
Dedication
After a nice lunch at IHOP Lisa dropped me off at my corner and she drove to hers (the intersection is really wide). I could tell already that this was indeed a challenge. The temperature was no higher than 50 degrees. To make matters worse it was quite breezy and the winds gusted several times (which meant the wind chill made it feel more like freezing). I had two official signs and another one advertising the campaign website (which Lisa made). Fortunately the sign Lisa made was rigid enough for me to hold onto however I had to use it as a buffer for the other two signs or they would have blown away onto the street to be run over (or cause an accident).
How was the response? Lisa said that she got a lot of thumbs up from the cars that passed. I suppose that things were the same at my corner but I can't see well enough to tell those things. I did get several honks from cars that went by, and a huge blast from a Rooms to Go truck!
Honestly my feelings are mixed. I am glad that we made some kind of impact out there. However I am somewhat disappointed that there were not more of us. I would have liked to know the feedback I was getting that I couldn't see. At times I felt lonely out there especially when no one was honking at me and the wind was howling and doing its best to knock me down. My morale was really low by the time Lisa picked me back up and dropped me off at my house. I was freezing. In fact I am still shivering even in my warm room. Do I regret it at all? No, of course not! Would I do it again? Yes! But for now I'm going to snuggle in my warm bed and get some sleep. My feet are killing me!
Good night!
PS: Thanks Lisa for your help today! It is always a pleasure working beside you in our efforts to get Mike elected!

IOWA GETS EVEN CLOSER - HUCK TO 24%!!
GREAT NEWS!!!
LET'S ROLL - Huck's Army Special Forces Formed!
I don't know about you but it will be a busy day for me. It is finally the 15th of November and that means it's time to roll out! this afternoon, Lisa Chambers, myself, and a few others from Gwinnett County for Mike Huckabee will be meeting together for lunch and afterwards hitting the streets with our Huckabee signs! During lunch we will have plenty to talk about...even more than I thought yesterday!
A few days back I was invited to a conference call. If you have read this blog for a few months I have talked about the Blogger's calls with Mike Huckabee. This was different and perhaps more important. The conference call was about the formation of the Special Forces of Huck's Army.
Our General is a fine man from Kentucky named Bill. He made his mind up about Mike Huckabee during a CNN Debate when Mike was asked about Evolution by Wolf Blitzer. He spent a month in Iowa before the Straw Poll and was quite an asset to the operations there and the eventual 2nd place finish there back in August. Other than that he has lots of experience with managing large groups of people, he once managed a group of 40,000 at his last job before he retired. We definitely have a competent leader!
I was really not sure what to expect out of the call and I suppose that is quite appropriate. I've been doing that a lot lately. I didn't anticipate what this blog would become, how much on fire I would get for Mike Huckabee, or what would happen with the Gwinnett County Meetup group either. It's all been a leap of faith for me.
After introducing himself we went around the country and introduced ourselves to each other. We all were somewhat familiar with each other from the Huck's Army Forum. I don't know what the camaraderie is like with supporters of any other campaign but I don't think they can match our ability to become instant friends and our sincere adoration for Mike. What might have been quite rigid in other camps was very laid back and informal but we did not lose sight of our goal.
I am waiting a transcript of the call from some others on the forum. However the site is still down as it is being worked on for a re-launch to coincide with the Special-Forces operation kickoff. The site was to be ready at 0800 (8 AM Eastern) but to this point hasn't come back online yet. I will share notes from the call later since I don't think I can do them justice. What we talked about was of the utmost importance. Our first goal is of course to get Mike a win in Iowa and then spread operations all over the country.
What I did find out, to my excitement, that we, Huck's Army is a member of Team 100! For those who are not aware there is a Team of 100 people that are raising $100,000 each for the Mike Huckabee campaign by the end of December. If you do the math that equals $10 Million by the end of 4th Quarter! Huck's Army has been given a donor code of 160. We've been using that code for a few weeks now and we are already the Top Rated donor code!
I don't have too much time to talk this morning. Please check back this evening for more. I hope to have the notes from the call to share. This is not a covert operation anymore! I will also have pictures from the Sign Waving. Also expected today is a third poll from Iowa that will confirm the surge for Mike there. Oh and I will have news about Mike's first ad buy in the Hawkeye state as well!
LET'S ROLL TROOPS!!

CALL TO ACTION - CONTACT THE IOWA RIGHT TO LIFE COMMITTEE!!!
Attention Mike Huckabee Supporter:
(In case you haven't heard)
Last night I spoke with a representative with the Iowa Right to Life Committee. He told me that they have not yet endorsed a candidate, and may not do so during the primaries. However, their board is meeting Monday ( 11/18 ) and is likely to discuss this VERY IMPORTANT issue at that time.
An endorsement for Huckabee from the Iowa Right to Life Committee would be HUGE. We need to be calling, faxing, and emailing their leaders throughout the rest of the week and into the weekend to make sure that they hear our voices loud and clear. After you've done your part, pass this information on to all of your friends, and encourage them to do the same.
It's time for Mike Huckabee supporters to take a stand for LIFE!
